Upper respiratory tract disease (URTD) in cats, commonly known as “cat flu,” is a highly contagious, multi-factorial condition involving both viruses and bacteria.
Unfortunately, in veterinary medicine there is no drug that completely eliminates infection with FHV-1 or FCV. Therefore, treatment of cats showing symptoms of “cat flu” is mainly based on symptomatic and supportive therapy, including:
